I am a web designer from Norwich, England who specialises in front-end development. This means that I'm interested in making web pages attractive and easy to use, as well as ensuring that they are search engine friendly and accessible. I use technologies such as CSS and jQuery to manipulate and arrange the information sent by the server in such a way that it can be explored and absorbed without impediment.
As well as coding web pages I am frequently called upon to produce design and branding (especially logo's) for web or offline projects and I'm a student of semiology, since design is ultimately about communication, not just aesthetics. I have created two icon webfonts which can be obtained free from Font Squirrel and used in your own UI designs.
I am an author for Smashing Magazine, where I have written on the subject of typography's role in UX design. I have also detailed a process for making embeddable icon fonts for the eminent Web Designer Depot.

Content
A website – any website – isn't worth a damn without high quality, engaging and useful content. It's the very reason the website exists in the first place. However, since the manufacture of websites is typically led by designers and technologists, it is frequently the last thing that anyone working on a project considers.
Speaking as a Web Designer, I am happy to tell you that content is more important than aesthetics. Writing good web content is also a much more challenging task than establishing colour schemes and choosing fonts. If you need assistance organising or writing content for your site, copywiters and content strategists such as my friends at Blink SEO are available to help.
In case you were wondering, I helped them with their site's responsive design.
